Prudential Zenith Life steps up Lagos sanitation drive

Translate

Prudential Zenith Life Insurance Limited partnered with the Lagos Waste Management Authority to support a cleaner, safer, and healthier Lagos by donating 200 overalls and 100 traffic cones for the agency’s field personnel.

The newly donated overalls would help protect sanitation workers, while the traffic cones will improve the visibility and safety of crews and road users during daily operations, contributing to a safer urban environment and stronger public services for communities across Lagos.

Speaking on the partnership, the Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer at Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, Samuel Ohonusi, noted that a healthy environment is fundamental to resilient communities and sustainable business.

The initiative, according to the firm’s statement on Monday, reflects Prudential’s purpose of building resilient communities by helping strengthen the safety, wellbeing, and effectiveness of the people who keep the city running.

“Our partnership with LAWMA is an investment in the safety and dignity of those who keep Lagos clean, and in the wellbeing of the people who depend on a safer, more organised city.

The overalls and traffic cones will help protect workers and support the systems that enable communities to thrive,” Ohonusi stated.

Receiving the items on behalf of the agency, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, expressed gratitude for the intervention.

“We thank Prudential Zenith Life Insurance for this timely donation. The overalls and traffic cones will improve the safety and visibility of our sanitation workers,” Gbadegesin said.

He added that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to a cleaner, safer Lagos and to building resilient communities where people can live and work with greater confidence, while also encouraging other organisations to support the mission.

This environmental and safety initiative further reinforces Prudential Zenith Life Insurance’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance principles and its broader purpose of helping build resilient communities by supporting safer workplaces, cleaner neighbourhoods, and more sustainable urban progress.
