‘Nobody Wants This’ Actress Tovah Feldshuh Insists “Tensions Are Not Rising” With Adam Brody, Hopes “We Are Chosen” For Season 4

Amid disagreements about major world issues on the set of Nobody Wants This, one series star insists it will not impact a potential Season 4.

Tovah Feldshuh, who plays Rabbi Noah Roklov’s (Adam Brody) mother Bina, recently denied that “tensions are emerging” among the cast and creator of Netflix’s Jewish romantic-comedy after she took issue with Brody’s support of “Free Palestine.”

“Tensions are NOT RISING. Profound differences of opinion are,” insisted Feldshuh on Threads. “Please do not conflate the two—And none of it will be brought to the set. I deeply enjoy filming NWT and hope we are chosen to go on for a fourth season.”

While creator Erin Foster has said she has “more story to tell” in a potential Season 4 of Nobody Wants This, the show has not yet been renewed since becoming the subject of discourse after Brody publicly shared his support for a free Palestine amid the Israel-Hamas conflict‘s ongoing impact on Gaza.

“Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine,” Brody told GQ in September. “It’s awful that it’s taken so much death and misery, but it does feel like it’s reaching a breaking point that it should have a while ago. I’m hopeful that another administration can really do some good and correct some of these policies that are helping that situation be as awful as it is.”

After Foster expressed on her podcast, “I love Adam, I also disagree with him,” Feldshuh told the New York Post, “To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild. It’s right out of Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim, and you make the victim the perpetrator.”

In Nobody Wants This, inspired by Foster’s relationship with her music exec husband Simon Tikhman, agnostic podcaster Joanne Williams (Kristen Bell) begins an unexpected romance with progressive Rabbi Noah Roklov (Brody), which shakes both their families as Joanne immerses herself in Noah’s culture and decides to convert to Judaism.
