Roma start Paulo Dybala, Donyell Malen and Matias Soulé in the Champions League trip to Mason Greenwood’s Fenerbahce.

It kicks off at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul at 17.45 UK time (18.45 CEST).

The Giallorossi return to the Champions League after a seven-year absence, thanks to their top three Serie A finish last term.

This season has also started strong with three wins out of three, including last weekend’s dramatic comeback from 1-0 down at the 87^th minute to beat Atalanta 2-1.

Lorenzo Pellegrini is the only injury absentee, as there is still no first start for Nahuel Molina, instead Devyne Rensch takes the right flank.

Malen and Dybala have been in sparkling form, and the choice of support falls to Soulé rather than Rodrigo Mora this time.

If it’s a return for Roma, then it feels the same for Fenerbahce, who hadn’t qualified for the Champions League proper since 2018/19.

They had a fiery play-off with Olympique Lyonnais, which saw ex-Lazio midfielder Matteo Guendouzi suspended for insulting the French fans.

Jayden Oosterwolde is also out injured after his failed medical ruined a summer transfer to Roma, along with Marco Asensio.

It’s another former Lazio player who starts upfront in Vedat Muriqi rather than ex-Napoli and Roma striker Romelu Lukaku, who sits on the bench.

Greenwood was a known target for the Giallorossi over much of the summer, but ultimately preferred to join Fenerbahce instead.

Ex-Inter defender Milan Skriniar and former Sassuolo man Mert Muldur are also familiar faces to Serie A followers.
