6 teams, Rs 25k reward: Hunt on for model Shraddha Dubey in UP bizman's death case

Lucknow police announced a ₹25,000 reward each for Shraddha Dubey, her sister and her driver.

LUCKNOW: Police are searching for a fashion model and social media influencer and four other accused in connection with the suspected murder of a 27-year-old cafe owner who died after falling from the fourth floor of an apartment in Lucknow on October 9.Shiva Sharma died after falling from Awadh Green Apartment.The incident was initially viewed as a possible accidental death, but a complaint by his family alleging assault and torture led police to launch a murder investigation.Police have booked Sharma’s live-in partner, Shraddha Dubey, her sister, their driver and two other people for murder."Efforts are underway to arrest Shraddha Dubey and the other accused in connection with the case.

We are investigating all aspects to establish the facts of the matter," an officer posted in the Central Lucknow area told PTI.

Six teams have been formed to trace the three absconding accused.Sharma’s mother, Ranjana Sharma, alleged that her son had been held captive and brutally assaulted before being thrown from the building.

She claimed his body bore multiple injuries, including fractures to his jaw, both eye regions, ribs and a leg, as well as cigarette-burn marks and scratches.The family further alleged that Dubey had been harassing Sharma for the past four to five months, assaulting him and threatening to frame him in false cases.According to the family, Dubey visited their shop about a week before Sharma’s death and threatened them, demanding that they hand him over to her.The allegations have yet to be independently established, and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Sharma’s death.Dubey has a background in fashion blogging, modelling and fashion events. She holds a master’s degree and a postgraduate diploma in Computer Applications. She began exploring modelling and fashion blogging in Hyderabad before establishing herself in Lucknow.Her Instagram account had around 1.41 lakh followers as of Tuesday, with much of its content focused on fashion, clothing and lifestyle.

A music video featuring Dubey, released by Zee Music Company on YouTube in February 2019, had garnered around 2.78 lakh views.
