Listen to Dexter in the Newsagent’s New Song “Fantasy”

Nearly a year after her debut mixtape, Time Flies, Dexter in the Newsagent is back. “Fantasy,” the singer-songwriter and producer’s first song of 2026, follows a tail of promotion behind the album including European festival dates and a video for “Stranger to Love.” Join the south Londoner in a neon phone box in the new song’s Iris Luz-directed video below.

Dexter said in a press release, “I wrote this song earlier this year when I lost a bunch of money and was feeling quite lost. I was watching random car drive-through videos of rich areas on youtube and I wanted to write a song about money from the perspective we all have when you’re a kid and you just wonder what it’s like to have a big fancy car, walk in wardrobe or a chef. That’s where the song came from and I love everything about how fancy and dreamy it feels, it’s like my own fantasy world where I am a millionaire.”
