Cutix forecasts N122m Q3 profit, projects lower interest rates

Translate

Cutix Plc has projected a profit before tax of N122.11m for the third quarter of its 2027 financial year ending January 31, 2027, according to its forecast report submitted to the Nigerian Exchange. The company expects revenue for the quarter to reach N4.26bn, driven primarily by strong performance in its core house wiring cable segment, which is projected to generate N3.38bn, alongside power cables contributing N256.57m, metal products yielding N619.10m, and distribution panels bringing in N3.00m

The third-quarter financial forecast submitted to the Nigerian Exchange was officially signed by Uchechukwu Igbokwe, Acting Chief Executive Officer, and Uche Okonkwo, Acting Chief Financial Officer on Thursday.

The forecast reflects a projected 15 per cent increase in revenue compared to previous quarters based on actual revenue performance recorded in the first quarter of FY2027 and expected improvements in sales volume. However, profit before tax is estimated to decline from the N162m forecast in the second quarter of FY2027 due to ongoing cost pressures in major raw materials, particularly copper, which has pushed the raw material cost-to-sales ratio to 75 per cent without a corresponding increase in selling prices amid a highly competitive market environment.
