CalBank ‘Abakade Promo’ rewards 5 customers with GH¢25,000 in first draw

Five lucky customers of CalBank PLC have each won GH¢5,000 in the first monthly draw of the CalBank Abakade Promo, held at the Derby Avenue Branch on Tuesday 15th September, 2026, taking the total value of prizes awarded in the inaugural draw to GH¢25,000.

The draw, which forms part of the three-month savings promotion, was conducted under the oversight of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), with representatives of the Authority emphasizing that the customer data submitted for participation was independently verified and validated, providing assurance that eligible customers were properly captured and that the selection process was conducted fairly and in accordance with the applicable requirements.

Speaking at the event, Kwame Danso, Chief of Staff, CalBank PLC, welcomed customers, media, management and staff to what he described as an important milestone in a campaign designed to reward loyal customers.

He further assured participants that the draw would be conducted transparently and in accordance with all relevant laws and processes governing the promotion, while congratulating the winners and encouraging other customers to remain engaged as the promotion continues.

Stephen Essien, Head of Consumer Banking atCalBank highlighted the broader purpose of the Abakade Promo, noting that beyond the prizes, the campaign is intended to encourage customers to develop and sustain a positive savings habit.

According to him, the promotion provides customers with an additional incentive to save while giving CalBank the opportunity to recognize and reward the loyalty of its customers.

Commenting on the significance of the promotion, Dr. Amos William Abaidoo, Head of Marketing, Brands and Communications at CalBankexpressed appreciation to the Bank's management, the National Lottery Authority, partners, staff and, particularly, customers for their support and participation.

“We are delighted to see the excitement around Abakade and, more importantly, the enthusiasm of our customers to save,” he said. “Today's five winners are just the beginning. We have more draws ahead, and fully active customers can look forward to even more exciting and rewarding prizes in the subsequent draws.”

He added that the Bank remains committed to creating meaningful experiences for its customers while supporting them to make better financial decisions.

The CalBank Abakade Promo is a three-month savings promotion designed to encourage customers to save while giving them opportunities to win exciting cash prizes.

With the first five winners now confirmed, the promotion continues with more opportunities for eligible customers to participate and win in the next monthly draw as well as the Grand Draw, with a lucky customer taking home GHS100,000.
