The world's richest man, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, threatened the podcast partner of former First Lady Hillary Clinton with prison in a recent X post.

With the midterm elections approaching in what is projected to be a 'blue wave' victory for Democrats, the Trump ally appears to have little tolerance for criticism and fired online against tech journalist Kara Swisher.

Swisher, who launched the High Stakes podcast with Hillary Clinton just last week, appeared on another podcast, The Bulwark.

In a recent episode, Swisher suggested that Democrats should look into investigating Musk should they manage to gain control of both chambers of Congress in November.

She even went so far as to say that Musk would already have been sent to jail if Trump's Democratic challenger Kamala Harris had won the presidential election in 2024.

'Under Kamala Harris, he might be in jail right now, right?' Swisher suggested. 'And that's not because she's some avenging fury. It's because there is a lot of questions around different companies of his.'

She further claimed that the agencies affected by the cuts Musk made when he was running the Department of Government Efficiency would start investigating his many companies.

Swisher continued: 'If Donald Trump loses the Senate, I would be worried if I were him even though how rich he is.

'He has a very big sense of fate. And I think it's coming for him. And real hard.'

The furious world's first trillionaire took his upset with Swisher's comments to social media and posted on X: 'Live by the sword, die by the sword.

'Sounds like Swisher really wants to go to prison.'

While the excerpt of Swisher's comments reached more than 2.4 million views on X, Musk's comment underneath got about 574,000 views as of Wednesday night and sparked strong reactions.

One asked: 'Why would he be in jail for? He hasn't broken the law.'

Another calmed down the entrepreneur, saying: 'No worries, Kamala is NEVER going to be President.'

Polls are projecting that next month's Midterm elections could hand the Democrats both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Meanwhile, top Republicans insist those surveys are skewed and that the GOP will do far better than predicted.
