Daisy Ridley, Sosie Bacon, and Simon Rex are teaming up for upcoming feature “Get Rid of It,” set to shoot at the start of 2027.

The film is being directed by Ry Russo-Young from a script by Gemma Holdway, and is being launched at the American Film Market by Upgrade, CAA Media Finance and Range Select, who are handling sales.

“Get Rid of It” follows Harper (Ridley) and her sister, Jessie (Bacon), who embark on a cross-country road trip when Harper discovers she’s pregnant after a one-night-stand with a mysterious drifter named Miller (Rex). The sisters find themselves fighting for survival as they discover the thing growing inside Harper may not be human.

The project is being produced by independent film veteran David Lancaster, whose credits include “Whiplash,” for which he received a best pictures Oscar nomination, plus “Nightcrawler” and “Drive.”

“Propulsive and playful, this project’s strength is its compelling point of view and heart beneath the horror. I’m thrilled to bring it to life with such an extraordinary and gifted group of collaborators,” said Russo-Young.

Ridley can be seen in Ti West’s upcoming film “Ebenezer” opposite Johnny Depp and has previously starred in Zak Hilditch’s “We Bury The Dead,” Joachim Ronning’s “Young Woman and the Sea,” and as Rey in the most-recent “Star Wars” trilogy. Bacon is currently starring opposite Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis in Elizabeth Sarnoff’s series “Scarpetta” and recently appeared in the SXSW breakout “Family Movie” alongside parents Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick and brother Travis Bacon. She’s also known for her work in Parker Finn’s horror-hit “Smile,” and Brad Ingelsby’s detective drama “Mare of Easttown.” Rex is known for his acclaimed performance in Sean Baker’s “Red Rocket” and has recently starred in Nic Pizzolatto’s “Easy’s Waltz” and Zoë Kravitz’s “Blink Twice.”

Russo-Young’s previous directing credits include the sci-fi teen thriller “Before I Fall” starring Zoey Deutch, coming-of-age drama “The Sun is Also A Star” with Charles Melton, as well as the acclaimed AppleTV+ series “Shrinking” headlined by Harrison Ford and Jason Segel.
