Man dies in gyrocopter crash on SA pastoral property
A 51-year-old man has died following a helicopter crash in South Australia's north-east.
SA Police say emergency services were called to a pastoral property west of Broken Hill about 2:15pm on Saturday following the report that a helicopter had crashed.
They said the pilot and sole occupant, a 51-year-old local man, died at the scene.
Both the Australian Transport Safety Board and the Australian Sport Rotorcraft Association have been notified.
Major Crash Investigators attended the scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
