5 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight as Vinny's sentence is confirmed

Translate

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Monday's episode (12 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Emmerdale, Vinny's fate is confirmed as he faces his sentencing hearing following the crash.

Meanwhile, Sadie faces a backlash after choosing to stay in the village, and Thea finds a sneaky new way to gain Kim's trust.

Read on for five big moments from Monday's episode…

1. Vinny discovers his punishment

ITV

It's the day of Vinny's court appearance and his family urge him not to lose hope. Paddy points out that he received an unexpectedly lenient punishment after covering up Ray's murder, so there's still hope that Vinny could receive similar treatment.

Sadly, when Vinny faces the judge, the outcome is much worse than anyone expected. An example needs to be made of Vinny following his dangerous driving, so he's sentenced to ten years behind bars.

2. Joe's latest plan is revealed

ITV

Joe seems to be back on an even keel after his drunken behaviour the day before, but he's clearly up to something as he acts suspiciously around a brown briefcase.

Later, a twist reveals what Joe has been hiding in the briefcase…

3. Sadie tries to repair her friendship

ITV

After her chat with Joe gave her a reason to stay in the village, Sadie tries to rebuild bridges with those she has wronged.

As it seems that Nicola will never forgive her, Sadie instead turns to Ruby and claims there was a very good reason why she told so many lies about Jimmy after his death.

With Sadie once again claiming that she has been in an abusive relationship, will Ruby decide to hear her out?

4. Laurel has her say

ITV

Laurel is disgusted when she sees Sadie drinking with Ruby at the pub. She expected Sadie to scarper now that her true colours have been exposed, but it's clear that the schemer is going nowhere.

As Laurel gives Sadie a piece of her mind, will she show any remorse?

5. Thea comes to Kim's rescue – or so it seems

ITV

A police officer pulls Kim over on the road, claiming that she was driving recklessly. Thea soon turns up and gets Kim out of trouble, promising that her junior colleague won't do it again.

Shortly afterwards, it's revealed that Thea has engineered the entire situation to gain Kim's trust. Where will she go from here?

Later, there's a big twist involving Kim…

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
