Temperatures continue to drop in Egypt, moderate weather expected

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a continued slight decrease in temperatures across most of the country, with moderate to slightly hot weather prevailing during the daytime, accompanied by high humidity.

The EMA explained that Greater Cairo will witness a high of 35C, the northwestern coast will see high of 31C.

Temperatures will reach 36C in northern Upper Egypt, while in southern Upper Egypt highs will reach 40C. Very hot weather will persist in the south of the country during the daytime.

The EMA indicated that the weather will be slightly hot and humid in the early morning in the north of the country, including Greater Cairo, while it will be very hot in the south.

Nighttime temperatures will be slightly hot and humid across most of the country.

Active winds

The EMA forecasts occasional wind activity, with speeds ranging between 30 and 35 kilometers per hour, in parts of Greater Cairo, South Sinai, and Upper Egypt.

These winds are expected to bring cooler temperatures in some areas by the evening.

Light Rainfall

The EMA also noted a slight chance of light rain in scattered areas along the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities.

This may be accompanied by a light, non-impactful drizzle in some areas.

According to the EMA’s forecast, maximum humidity levels at night will range between 85-95 percent along the North Coast, and between 50-85 percent in Cairo and Lower Egypt, while they will decrease in Upper and Lower Egypt.

The EMA called on citizens to adequately prepare for the changing weather.
