Boy, 11, in serious condition after being shot in face and neck in Sydney home
An 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after being shot in a home in Sydney’s north-west.
Emergency services responded to reports of a shooting at a property in Norwest at about 5pm on Monday.
Police said the boy suffered gunshot wounds to his face and neck. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
Five other people inside the home at the time were unharmed.
Initial reports indicated the shots were fired from within the home and police are not searching for an external suspect.
A crime scene has been established as investigations into the circumstances continue.
