‘Yellowstone’ Alum Jefferson White Joins ‘Marshals’ Season 2

Jefferson White is saddling back up as Jimmy Hurdstrom, with the actor set to reprise his “Yellowstone” role in “Marshals” Season 2 at CBS.

White will recur in the second season of the CBS drama, which stars fellow “Yellowstone” alum Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton.

“I’m thrilled to dive into the world of ‘Marshals’ and continue exploring the American West,” White said in a statement. “The cast and crew are stacked full of my favorite actors and filmmakers, and I’m honored to join them. Jimmy and I have been through a lot together, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for us.”

Exactly how Jimmy will be worked into the show remains to be seen. Fans of “Yellowstone” will remember that Jimmy’s storyline concluded with John Dutton giving Jimmy his blessing to return to Texas the 6666 Ranch permanently, where Jimmy builds a life as a cowboy and horse trainer.

White is now the latest “Yellowstone” star to appear in “Marshals.” Along with Grimes, the show also features Brecken Merrill (Tate Dutton), Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater), and Mo Brings Plenty (Mo).

Along with his time on “Yellowstone,” White is known for his roles in shows like “House of Cards,” “The Alienist,” “The Americans,” and “How to Get Away with Murder.” In film, he has starred in features like “Civil War” and “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.” His upcoming credits include “Rambo” with Noah Centineo and “November 1963.”

He is repped by Lichter Grossman, Principal Entertainment LA and Gersh.

In “Marshals,” Kayce Dutton joins a U.S. Marshals unit fighting to deliver justice in Montana. The cast also includes Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, and Tatanka Means.

The series was renewed for a second season less than two weeks after it premiered earlier this year. It is set to premiere Oct. 4 on CBS and streaming the next day on Paramount+.

“Marshals” was developed by Spencer Hudnut, based on characters created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. Hudnut also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Sheridan executive produces along with David Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Freidman, Grimes, and Keith Cox. It is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
