Malaysia Airlines resumes Jeddah, Madinah flights tomorrow

Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines will resume scheduled flights to and from Jeddah and Madinah tomorrow.

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) said the decision follows a comprehensive safety review and operational risk assessment after temporary suspensions triggered by security concerns in Saudi Arabia.

"Passengers travelling to and from both destinations from Oct 18 should verify their flight schedules and ensure their contact details are updated through the 'My Booking' section on its website or mobile app.

"Passengers who booked through third-party platforms or travel agents should contact their respective providers directly to confirm their travel arrangements.

"For assistance, passengers can use the airline's Live Chat service or contact its Global Contact Centre at 1 300 88 3000 within Malaysia or +603 7843 3000 from overseas," it said in a statement.

The airline also said that it would continue to monitor developments in the region as the safety and security of its passengers and crew remain its highest priority.

It was reported that Malaysia Airlines had cancelled flights between Kuala Lumpur and Jeddah and Madinah from Oct 12 to 17 following reported Houthi missile attacks on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport.
