Sadly, Star Trek: Voyager has been off the air for many years now, having run from 1995 to 2001. Its iconic storyline featured Captain Kathryn Janeway and her crew, stranded thousands of light-years away from home, and introduced many beloved characters and moments to the Star Trek universe.
Although their televised stories may not be continuing in the traditional sense, last winter Voyager made an epic return. Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown is a roguelite survival strategy video game that has earned an 8.1 User Score on Metacritic. The game has been praised for giving players freedom of choice, with every diplomatic decision influencing the course of the story. Players are put in command of the U.S.S. Voyager with all the dangers that come with it.
While the base game generally takes just between 15 and 20 hours to complete, the team behind Across the Unknown has four planned DLCs in the works, which can be purchased together through the game's expansion pass. The first of these DLCs, Delta Chronicles, is out now, with the second, Equinox, planned to release on October 1, 2026.
Following Equinox, the last two DLCs have unfortunately been a bit thrown off of their planned release windows. Originally, Equinox was supposed to release this summer, with the third DLC arriving now and the final one in Winter 2026. However, when they do arrive, the third DLC will bring more missions, heroes, technologies, and NPC ships. DLC4 will contain an entirely new sector with a storyline, missions, characters, NPC ships, and more.
With Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown's Equinox DLC arriving in just a couple more weeks, that is the big one we are excited for right now. This DLC will contain the U.S.S. Equinox as a playable ship for the Q Trials Mode. The ship is much smaller than the Voyager, which makes for a harder gameplay experience with less space, fewer crew, and reduced warp power.
In addition to the Equinox-exclusive questline for Q Trials, there are three new recruitable heroes. These include Captain Rudolph Ransom, First Officer Maxwell Burke, and Crewman Noah Lessing. If it's anything like Delta Chronicles, players will be able to add a couple more hours of exciting gameplay in the Star Trek: Voyager universe, with plenty to experience.
You can purchase both the base game and the expansion pass for Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown now on PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
