Ex-Tabung Haji COO slapped with another charge over renovation costs
Former Tabung Haji (TH) chief operating officer (COO) Adi Azuan Abdul Ghani has claimed trial at the sessions court here to a charge of receiving RM8,882.77 in renovation costs for a house nine years ago.
Adi, 56, made the plea before judge Suzana Hussin.
The charge was framed under Section 165 of the Penal Code, which makes it an offence for a public servant to obtain valuables without consideration. Those found guilty can be jailed for up to two years and fined.
Adi was slapped with similar charges at the Shah Alam sessions court yesterday for receiving renovation costs totalling RM302,499.27 for three houses nine years ago.
