London travel news LIVE: Elizabeth line and GWR train disruption into Paddington after 'casualty on tracks'

A person has been hit by a train between Twyford and London Paddington, causing lines to be closed this morning.

The Elizabeth line is suspended between Maidenhead and Reading. A number of Great Western Railway services are also affected, with disruption expected until around 10am.

Meanwhile, a signalling fault between London Blackfriars and London St Pancras International is causing delays for commuters on Thameslink services.

The Suffragette Line is hampered by severe delays due to a points failure at Upper Holloway, and there are also Tube delays affecting the Circle and District lines.

An obstruction on the track between Moorgate and Finsbury Park means all lines are blocked.

Trains will be cancelled, delayed or revised, with disruption expected until around 8am.

This is affecting Great Northern trains between Moorgate and Finsbury Park, Alexandra Palace, Hertford North, Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage.

Signal failure causing Thameslink delays

A fault with the signalling system between London Blackfriars and London St Pancras International means that fewer trains than normal are able to run on the line.

Services running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed, with the disruption expected until around 10am.

This is affecting a number of Thameslink services - do check your journey before you travel.
