#SHOWBIZ: 'Cap A' confirms engagement to Dr Fie ahead of upcoming wedding

KUALA LUMPUR: A mystery man known only as Cap A has stepped forward to confirm his engagement to dentist Dr Afifah Hidayah Ahmad Tawfek — better known as Dr Fie — with wedding bells set to chime very soon.

Cap A put an end to ongoing speculation in a statement to Harian Metro, revealing that their big day is just around the corner.

He also shared a digital wedding invitation to confirm the upcoming nuptials, while warmly extending an invitation to the event.

The groom-to-be, who is the chief executive officer of an Indonesian firm based in Papua and previously organised a concert for a legendary rock group, explained why he prefers to keep his identity private.

He expressed a desire to keep a low profile for now, emphasising that Dr Fie and her family are wonderful people who do not deserve unwanted attention or harsh comments online.

Speculation began on Oct 2 when Dr Fie posted photos from her engagement ceremony on social media. Sources close to the personality confirmed that she got engaged to the widowed businessman during an intimate family gathering at her home in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, on Aug 2.

Those close to the couple added that both have fully embraced each other's lives as they prepare for this next chapter.

Dr Fie was previously married to singer Nubhan on Aug 29, 2015, before their marriage ended in a double-talaq divorce at the Sepang Lower Syariah Court in December 2025.

The former couple share three children: Aafiya, 9; Ahmad Aaffan, 7; and four-year-old Afzan Nayille.
