This week’s milestones: Oct. 11 to Oct. 17

The Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost) opened the country’s first drive-thru post office in Davao City. In line with the city’s goal of improving vehicular flow and alleviating traffic around the Davao City Central Post Office, the drive-thru service provides a more accessible and time-efficient option for the convenience of the mailing public. It limits the transaction time to five to eight minutes, allowing motorists to pick up and send parcels and letters faster and reduce waiting time. There is a designated area where postal patrons can briefly park their vehicles to efficiently complete their transactions. The service also offers the option to phone-in transactions before heading to the post office to pick up their parcels.
