Labour was urged to get a grip on AI yesterday after the head of Microsoft AI Mustafa Suleyman warned developing autonomous AI risks creating a ‘silicon species’ which could develop to rival humans.
This comes after AI minister Kanishka Narayan said in a rare interview this week that AI could have ‘profound consequences’ for Britain’s national security.
