2026 U-17 WWC: ‘Success shall be ours’ – Black Maidens assistant coach ahead of Argentina clash

Black Maidens assistant coach Bashiru-Deen Sumaila has expressed optimism that “success shall be ours” as Ghana prepare for their Round of 16 clash against Argentina in the U-17 Women's World Cup.
The Maidens advanced to the knockout stage following a 2-0 victory over Canada in their final group game, with substitutes Linda Achiaa and Christiana Ashiaku scoring the goals.
The victory set up a tie against the South Americans, who topped Group A unbeaten.
“We've watched Argentina, we had the time to have the girls watch whatever is supposed to be done, what they need to work around, and what we have to be very careful of,” Sumaila told Ghana FA media.
“The girls are very poised and ready for the game. [It] is going to be a very good game, and we will win. We are going to give our best tomorrow, and success shall be ours.”
The game is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 GMT in Rabat.
