Anwar meets Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi over breakfast in New Delhi

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met with Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in India’s parliament, Lok Sabha, over breakfast here today.
Rahul, a senior leader of the Indian National Congress party, described his conversation with Anwar as “warm and engaging”.
“Had a warm and engaging conversation with HE Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, over breakfast today,” he said in a social media post.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Rahul’s sister and the Congress MP for Wayanad in Kerala, also attended the meeting.
Photos shared by Rahul showed Anwar with the two Congress leaders, along with officials from both countries, seated together over breakfast.
No details were immediately available on what was discussed.
Rahul and Priyanka are among the most prominent leaders of Congress, India’s main opposition party.
The breakfast meeting came a day after Anwar held talks with Indian prime minister Narendra Modi during his visit to New Delhi.
Anwar and Modi discussed closer cooperation between Malaysia and India in areas including semiconductors, trade and investment, as well as efforts to facilitate the entry of Malaysian products into the Indian market.
Anwar is in India for the BRICS Summit, where he had meetings with other world leaders and Indian business groups.
