Asian Games 2026: Rishabh Das finishes sixth in men’s 100m backstroke final
Rishabh clocked 54.77 to finish sixth, while China’s Jiayu Xu won the gold medal by breaking his own Asian Games record with a timing of 51.98.

India’s Rishabh Das finished sixth in the men’s 100m backstroke final at the Asian Games 2026 on Sunday.
Rishabh clocked 54.77, while China’s Jiayu Xu won gold by breaking his own Asian Games record with a timing of 51.98.
Earlier in the day, Rishabh finished third in his heat with a timing of 54.85s.
Compatriot Utkarsh Patil was also involved in the same heat as he finished sixth after clocking 56.19s, but he failed to qualify for the medal round with that time.
The last time India won a swimming medal at the Asian Games was during the 2014 edition in Incheon, South Korea, when Sandeep Sejwal bagged bronze in men’s 50m breaststroke
