Khlong Chan flats residents left without food, water or power amid flooding

BANGKOK — 27 September 2026, Residents of Khlong Chan flats in Bangkok’s Bang Kapi district have appealed for emergency assistance as severe flooding leaves them without food, running water or electricity.

The Facebook page Drama-addict reported receiving a plea for help from residents of Khlong Chan Flat 25 on Soi Seri Thai 5, in Khlong Chan subdistrict.

The residents said floodwater around the flats was deep and showed no sign of receding.

They also reported that electricity had been cut off in the Seri Thai Soi 5 area since 08:00 on Saturday, 26 September, with no authorities having reached them to provide assistance.

With the flooding continuing, residents said they had run out of food, while the water supply remained unavailable and the power was still out.

The residents said they had not been adequately prepared because they had expected the situation to remain under control.

They appealed for authorities or relief groups to deliver boxed meals to the affected area.

One resident also said their phone battery was nearly depleted, raising concerns that they would soon be unable to receive emergency information or updates.

The appeal came as several areas of Bangkok and surrounding provinces continued to deal with flooding following heavy rainfall.
