1st 2 Lufia SNES RPGs Get Collection in 2027
Publisher Clear River Games announced on Sunday that it is releasing Taito's Lufia 1 and 2 The Sinistrals Saga, a collection of the SNES games Lufia & the Fortress of Doom and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals, on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in 2027. The first game tells the tale of a young man—the descendant of a legendary hero—and a young woman, burdened by the weight of destiny.The prequel tells the story of Maxim—a young man who would later be hailed as a hero of legend—and his companions and their battle against destiny.
The original Lufia & the Fortress of Doom (Estpolis Denki on Super Famicom in Japan) debuted for Super Nintendo in 1993. The prequel Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (Estpolis Denki II) launched on Super Famicom in 1995 and SNES in 1996. The prequel had a remake Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals (Estpolis: The lands cursed by the Gods) for Nintendo DS, which shipped in 2010.
Clear River Games is releasing Quintet's 1995 SNES RPG Terranigma for Switch 2, Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG on January 14. The release includes new quality-of-life features.
