Firefighters contain blaze at scrap storage facility near Circle Railway

Firefighters have extinguished a fire that broke out at Circle Railway in Accra, preventing it from spreading beyond the affected section of a two-storey building.
Personnel from the National Headquarters and Makola stations of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) were deployed to the scene and brought the situation under control.
The blaze affected the ground floor of the building, which was being used as a makeshift warehouse for storing scrap materials.
The GNFS said no casualties were recorded following the incident. However, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
The extent of damage to the property and the circumstances that led to the outbreak remain unclear.
