The Blood of Dawnwalker proved to be not only a smash hit, but a phenomenal spiritual successor to The Witcher 3. While not developed by the same studio, numerous CD Projekt Red employees helped bring the project to life and, in doing so, created something exciting and fresh that managed to build upon the ideas and concepts The Witcher 3 helped popularize over a decade ago. This success has naturally led many to wonder exactly what is next for this burgeoning series, especially as it clearly has a much grander narrative to tell.
Fortunately, The Blood of Dawnwalker's sequel has been confirmed and is very much on the way. Until then, however, there's plenty left for fans to sink their teeth into, especially those who enjoy a good freebie. If you're done with the base game and are wishing you could immerse yourself back in its world a little more before the inevitable sequel drops, never fear. Developer Rebel Wolves has released a freebie that millions can access right now with absolutely no catch.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is shaping up to be one of the best games of 2026, a rare feat considering the steep competition. Of course, it didn't achieve such an insurmountable task by accident; its choice-driven narrative, detailed setting, extensive worldbuilding, and phenomenal characters helped to propel it to the meteoric levels of success it has enjoyed thus far. It's no surprise that Rebel Wolves envisioned Blood of Dawnwalker as a series from the get-go, an ambitious and audacious move that is seemingly paying off rather well.
One facet of The Blood of Dawnwalker's excellent design that doesn't get perhaps as much kudos as it deserves is its phenomenal soundtrack. Composed by industry veterans, including The Witcher 3's own Piotr Musial, it proved to be one of the most compelling elements of the game, elevating its dark and tense cutscenes and complementing its stunning, otherworldly atmosphere as one explores the vast expanses of Vale Sangora. Fortunately, the aforementioned Blood of Dawnwalker freebie is the entire soundtrack, as it has been uploaded for free to numerous streaming services.
Rebel Wolves and publisher Bandai Namco have officially released the official The Blood of Dawnwalker soundtrack to YouTube Music, Spotify, and Tidal, with an Apple Music version coming very soon. Of course, many of these streaming services have premium paid subscriptions, which would lock out some users. However, the soundtrack can be listened to for free by everyone on YouTube Music and Spotify, albeit with ads. It is great to have an official upload of this incredible soundtrack, if only so that fans no longer have to rely on uploads from other users or trailer rips.
All 37 tracks from the soundtrack have been uploaded, including the incredible main theme from composer Nikola Kołodziejczyk. While this may not be the free piece of DLC some were understandably hoping for, it is still a great bonus for millions of fans paying for these streaming services or those listening for free. At the very least, it offers a profoundly impactful way of immersing oneself back in the fascinating world of The Blood of Dawnwalker before the sequel launches.
