‘A Long Time Coming’ – Iwobi Reacts To Fulham’s First EPL Victory
Alex Iwobi believes Fulham can get their season back on track following their hard-fought 1-0 victory over Hull City at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The Nigeria international scored the decisive goal in the first half to end Fulham’s winless run in the Premier League this season and secure a much-needed victory for the London club.
Iwobi Urges Fulham To Build On Momentum
Iwobi stressed the importance of maintaining their momentum and building on the positive result in their upcoming fixtures.
The midfielder admitted that the victory had been a long time coming, insisting that the team’s performances had often been better than their results suggested.
“The win was a long time coming. We have performed well even though the results spoke otherwise,” Iwobi told Fulham TV.

“The manager has asked us to keep going, and hopefully the luck will go our way. It has now started, so we just have to kick on and use this momentum for the rest of the season.”
Fulham Not Clinical Enough
Despite securing all three points, Iwobi acknowledged that Fulham could have been more clinical in front of goal, noting that they created enough chances to score more.
“It was a convincing performance, even though the criticism, even for me, is that we could have scored more goals,” Iwobi added.
“As long as we’re creating the opportunities, we will score more goals.”
“If we’re able to keep clean sheets like we did against Hull City, it will give us a chance to win games.”
