Sean Combs Injured In Prison; Release Date Pushed Back Again Amid Controversies & Violations

A trip from prison to the hospital this weekend may be the lesser of several recent blows to Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Amidst tales of indulgences, contraband and other luxuries behind bars at FCI Fort Dix, the much accused Bad Boy Records founder has seen his release date pushed back almost two more months.
Handed a much anticipated sanction of over 40 days, Combs is currently scheduled to walked out of the New Jersey minimum security facility on March 2, 2028. With a release date that has gone up and down literally since Diddy was sentenced in September 2025 to a 50-month stint (with time served) after being convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution by a NYC jury in July 2025, the Grammy winner was most recently set to get on January 21, 2028.
At the beginning of October, Bureau of Prisons sources told Deadline that Combs would be facing “serious consequences” for his violations of sneaking a smartphone into Ft. Dix, as well as fine booze and having a paid staff of other inmates. In the immediate aftermath, Diddy was placed in solitary confinement. It us unclear when he was placed back in the general population of the generally cushy facility.
What is known is that on October 10, Combs was taken from Ft. Dix to a nearby hospital with a head injury.
Details around the incident, first reported by TMZ and confirmed by Deadline, are meager when it comes to the how, who and why. Officially, the almost always circumspect BoP did not respond to Deadline’s request Monday for information on his medical and incarcerated status.
Combs’ rep offered a glimpse into the situation and the confusion seemingly surrounding it.
“We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances,” Juda Engelmayer told me this morning. “Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
Facing multiple civil suits and a possible indictment by the L.A. District Attorney, two years ago Combs was found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges in his high profile Manhattan trial. The Southern District of New York’s U.S. Attorney’s Office dramatically failed to convince jurors over the more serious crimes prosecutors had accused the faded mini-mogul of. If the defendant had been found guilty in a trial full of filmed sex parties and freak-offs, Cassie Ventura beatings, drug binges, threats, exploding cars and allegedly hanging people off balconies, Combs 56, could have received a life sentence.
