Yashbardhan Chauhan's all-round show seals series for India Under-19

Chauhan's 122 off 100 balls, his second fifty-plus score in as many games, formed the centrepiece of India Under-19's 341 for 7 after they were asked to bat first. He struck 15 fours and two sixes and shared a 132-run partnership with VK Vineeth for the third wicket.

Vineeth made 87 off 92 balls, hitting four fours and six sixes, while Aaryavir Sehwag contributed 47 off 48 at the top of the order. India were 233 for 3 when Vineeth fell in the 40th over, but Chauhan and Kushagra Ojha ensured a strong finish. Ojha smashed 34 off 20 balls, including five fours and a six, as India added 106 runs in the last ten overs.

For the visitors, Thomas Vaseo starred with 3 for 78 from his ten overs.

Australia Under-19's chase never quite matched the required rate, although captain Jack Czosnek and Matthew Lough gave them a strong start. Lough made 42 off 40, while Czosnek hit 81 off 63 balls, with seven fours and four sixes. Their 99-run fourth-wicket stand briefly brought Australia back into the contest after they had slipped to 72 for 3.

Once Czosnek fell to Kavya Paresh Patel in the 27th over, the chase unravelled. Blake Cattle made 44 off 46, but wickets continued to fall around him and Australia were bowled out for 238 in 41.1 overs. They lost the last six wickets for just 38 runs.

Chigurupati Venkata was India's most successful bowler with 3 for 64, while Chauhan completed an all-round performance with 2 for 56. Patel was India's most economical bowler, returning 2 for 23 from seven overs, while Mohit Ulva took 1 for 19 from seven.
