De Zerbi gives Richarlison availability update

Translate

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Richarlison will not be available for Tottenham’s Carabao Cup clash against Liverpool, despite the Brazilian forward being eligible to play in the competition.

De Zerbi said the decision is linked to the ongoing situation between Richarlison and the club. The 29-year-old was left out of Tottenham’s 25-man Premier League squad after expressing his desire to leave the club during the summer transfer window.

De Zerbi also revealed that he had tried several times to convince Richarlison to remain at Spurs, but the player remained determined to pursue a move away. As a result, Richarlison remains sidelined and will not feature against Liverpool, adding to Tottenham’s attacking concerns after they failed to score in their opening four Premier League matches.

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has revealed that the situation involving Richarlison stems from the Brazilian forward’s desire to leave the club during the summer transfer window.

De Zerbi said he tried several times to convince Richarlison to stay, but the striker remained determined to seek a move away from Tottenham.

Richarlison ultimately remained at the club after his proposed transfer failed to materialise, but he was left out of Tottenham’s 25-man Premier League squad. Although he remains eligible to feature in the Carabao Cup, De Zerbi has confirmed that he will not be involved, suggesting that the current situation between the player and the club remains unresolved.
