5 Coronation Street spoilers for tonight as Todd betrays Kit's trust

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Tuesday's episode (13 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Coronation Street, Todd disregards Kit's wishes and informs Sarah of the real reason that her ex won't support her in court.

Meanwhile, Gary is dismayed as his son Jake moves out, and Idris decides honesty is the best policy when Leanne confronts him.

Read on for five big moments from Tuesday's episode…

1. Todd drops a bombshell on Sarah

Todd and Bethany visit Sarah together ahead of her trial. Sarah discusses Kit's refusal to act as a character witness at her trial, still believing that he's mainly motivated by fears for his police career.

Todd sets the record straight, telling Sarah that Kit has breast cancer and can't make it to court as he's undergoing chemotherapy. When word of the conversation gets back to Kit, how will he feel about Todd's indiscreet approach?

2. Bethany puts pressure on Sarah

During the same visit, Bethany urges her mum to put herself first and strengthen her defence by throwing Gary under the bus.

Bethany points out that Sarah's family desperately needs her around, so she should do whatever it takes to secure her own freedom. Will Sarah listen?

3. Gary's son puts his foot down

Gary, Maria and Liam wake up to find that Jake has gone AWOL and his bed hasn't been slept in. All becomes clear when Izzy reveals that Jake stayed at her place because he doesn't want to live with his dad anymore.

Gary is upset and begs Jake to change his mind, but the schoolboy refuses to budge.

4. Leanne rumbles Idris's plan

Nick is plagued by a sudden run of one-star reviews for the Bistro, prompting customers to cancel their bookings.

Leanne suspects that Idris is responsible for the negative attention and wants revenge after the meat scandal at Speed Daal. When Idris admits it, will Leanne be appalled or impressed?

5. Debbie fears the worst

Debbie is confused to find a leaflet in the bin.

When she inspects it, she's horrified to realise that it's for a care home and worries that Ronnie could be planning something behind her back.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
