For the last ten years now (or near enough), The Legend of Zelda has been defined by the Wilds era. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and its sequel Tears of the Kingdoms are easily two of my favorite games of all-time, and I'm absolutely one of the many Zelda fans out there who believes the move to a truly open-world formula was the way to go.

Of course, the Wilds era has come to shape the overall look of the Zelda series outside those two games. There've been spinoffs, Link's Smash Bros. Ultimate design is based on Breath of the Wild, and the vast majority of official merch, and Zelda branding since 2017 has been directly tied to the open-world Switch games. As great a time it's been, I'm ready to move on. And move on we shall, after one final release in April 2027.

November 5 will see the long-awaited Ocarina of Time Remake launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, but after that what Nintendo has planned for the next mainline Zelda is a complete mystery. We should take some comfort, then, in the fact that The Legend Of Zelda: Heroes Of Hyrule Collection will kick off 2027 for fans.

Over on the Hasbro Pulse website, you can find a new line of three figures based on Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf from Tears of the Kingdom. Quite how the King of Evil Ganondorf has made his way into a collection called Heroes of Hyrule is beyond me. He's a sneaky dude, I suppose.

Here's the official product description for Princess Zelda:

- This officially licensed collectible Princess Zelda figure features sculpt and design inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

- 15 cm scale Princess Zelda action figure is highly poseable with 20+ points of articulation.

- Pose out Zelda with the included Decayed Master Sword and interchangeable sword grip hand.

- Display your Legend of Zelda fandom on your shelf with window box packaging featuring game-inspired character art.

And Ganondorf:

- This officially licensed collectible Ganondorf figure features sculpt and design inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

- Standing over 19 cm (7.5 inches) tall within the 15 cm (6 inch) scale, Ganondorf action figure is highly poseable with 20+ points of articulation.

- Pose out the Demon King with the included Gloom Sword, scabbard, and interchangeable sword grip hand.

Display your Legend of Zelda fandom on your shelf with window box packaging featuring game-inspired character art.

And finally, Link:

- This officially licensed collectible Link figure features sculpt and design inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

- 15 cm scale Link action figure is highly poseable with 20+ points of articulation and a fabric soft goods cape.

- Pose out Link with the included Hylian shield, interchangeable Zonai power hand, and the Master Sword.

Display your Legend of Zelda fandom on your shelf with window box packaging featuring game-inspired character art.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, all three figures appear to be sold out. Given Nintendo was genuinely surprised by the demand for all the 40th anniversary Zelda merch being released, it's maybe not that shocking. But keep an eye on Hasbro's website, as they'll be sure to update you if/when these figures end up back in stock.
