Emmerdale's Laurel Thomas to be left shocked as Gabby collapses

Emmerdale's Laurel Thomas will be left shocked next week, when her stepdaughter Gabby suddenly collapses after a panic attack. Viewers know that Gabby has been hiding her recent orthorexia diagnosis, but will she be forced to finally come clean?

In upcoming episodes, Gabby remains in denial about her eating habits and continues to ignore Dr Manpreet Sharma's concerns. Helpless Manpreet turns to Dr Liam Cavanagh for advice before approaching Laurel.

Unable to share medical details, Manpreet highlights the dangerous social media posts Gabby has been watching, hoping Laurel will take the hint. The latter heads to The Hide to chat to Gabby but can't find her.

After looking around the restaurant, Laurel sees her stepdaughter hiding behind the counter, having a terrifying panic attack. Though Laurel manages to calm her down, she soon realises the extent of the situation.

In a newly released spoiler video, Laurel questions Gabby's recent behaviour, hoping she will open up about her troubles. Gabby points out The Hide's terrible financial situation, but Laurel is only concerned about the young mum.

"I'm scared. And your breathing sounds awful. Please, please let me take you to Manpreet," she says.

Distressed Gabby tearfully claims she's "not right", and shares her struggles with food and her fears about "toxins".

"Everything is just ultra processed and full of additives, putting poison into my body. I feel so rough and I look awful and I can't do business," she cries.

When Gabby stands up to leave, she suddenly becomes light-headed and falls to the ground, with Laurel thankfully there to catch her. Upcoming episodes will see her rushed to hospital, as both women realise the seriousness of her diagnosis.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
