This is the shocking moment a man starts firing a bow and arrow at cars passing by on a busy main road before police swoop in.
A video, filmed by a bystander, shows a man aiming the weapon at various cars as they drive down Huddersfield Road in Skelmanthorpe.
Worried onlookers can be heard saying 'Oh my God' as the assailant, who police believe to be a 68-year-old, wearing a striped shirt and flat cap, repeatedly aims at various vehicles.
Meanwhile, loud thuds could be heard as the arrows struck the exteriors of the motors zooming by.
Images have since emerged of arrows stuck in the side of a van and car tyres in the attack, which took place at around 5.30pm in West Yorkshire yesterday.
Members of the public bravely restrained the man until West Yorkshire Police arrived at the scene following reports of a man 'acting erratically'.
West Yorkshire Police said the man allegedly began 'throwing rubbish and household items out of a car while driving dangerously in the road'.
The force then received further calls that he had got out of a car and began firing a bow and arrow in the street at passing vehicles.
A 68-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public space and remains in custody.

No one was injured in the incident; however, several vehicles were damaged, the force said.
Detective Chief Inspector Oliver Coates said: 'We recognise that this incident will have caused understandable concern in the community due to the serious nature of it and the fact it occurred in a busy area and was witnessed by many people.
'We want to reassure people that it was safely brought to a conclusion without any injury being caused, and with the assistance of members of the public who intervened.
'We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances, and we would ask that people avoid unhelpful speculation at this time.
'An increased police presence will remain in the area this evening while the scenes are examined, and officers from the local neighbourhood policing team will be working to reassure people in the community and to keep key representatives informed and updated.
'We are already speaking to witnesses but are still keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any part of the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation, particularly anyone with relevant mobile phone, dashcam or CCTV footage.'
