MANILA, Philippines — Three Filipinos were injured in the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, October 11, according to the latest information from Philippine authorities.

Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac earlier reported that two Filipinos were in intensive care following the attack.

“As of 11 a.m. today PHL time, two Filipinos are in Riyadh hospital ICUs, recovering from their injuries as a result of yesterday’s attacks on King Khalid International Airport. Our MWO-OWWA teams are monitoring their situation,” Cacdac said.

Meanwhile, no Filipino casualties have been reported, according to Cacdac.

According to reports, at least 12 people were killed and more than 300 wounded in an attack by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels on Riyadh's international airport.

The attack came during an unprecedented wave of Houthi strikes on the kingdom since a truce in the group's long-running war with Yemen's Riyadh-backed government unraveled in July.

The spiraling violence has raised the possibility of a wider escalation, with US President Donald Trump signaling that Washington could join military action against the Iran-backed fighters. — with reports from Agence France-Presse
