Who is Mo? Meet The Great British Bake Off 2026 contestant and law student
The Great British Bake Off is back – and law undergraduate Mo is ready to show they know their torts from their tarts.
As one of this year's 12 bakers, Mo will be ready to face the judges Paul Hollywood and Nigella Lawson and accept their verdict, but will it be a win in their favour?
At least with the competition hotter than ever, they have hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding there for emotional support.
"We're like their teachers, so we're like there everyday, making sure they're okay, making sure they're happy, sort of chatting to me all the time about how they're judging, about how their lives are going, you know, are they tired? And so we become really good friends with some," admitted Noel in a chat with Radio Times and other press.
"There's a couple of people in there who were, I think, amazing people, and not necessarily about the baking, but just amazing people. Which really helped the dynamic of the group, especially helped some of the younger bakers as well, which I thought was amazing."
Ahead of his debut in the tent, here's everything you need to know about Great British Bake Off contestant Mo, including his baking super power.

Mo is a 21-year-old law student from the west Midlands who is determined to make his family proud.
With ambitions of becoming a solicitor, Mo's wider family are often surprised to discover he is also a keen baker. His love for baking started when he was three years old and would pretend to cook with Play-Doh.
At nine, he came across a video about mug cakes and was hooked! He started out with boxed vanilla cake mixes and has since moved on to precise, professional-looking bakes, often infusing Asian flavours with traditional British classics.
When he isn't baking, Mo is in the gym lifting weights or getting to grips with calisthenics.
"If I’m being honest, I was very delusional and always thought I’d get in somehow and I would be on the Bake Off," Mo said.
"Surprisingly, I applied for the first time, and I was selected. When I got the call and was told I was selected, I was barely awake and still in bed sleeping. My reply was like “wow okay that’s nice” and after I went back to sleep."
What is Mo's secret baking "super power"?
Mo's secret power is "to not be bothered and winging it".
He added: "I love working under pressure and just eyeballing and winging my recipes and ideas as my planning didn't always go well."
