Man found dead in petrol station toilet near Tronoh

IPOH, Sept 21 — A 39-year-old local man was found dead inside the toilet of a petrol station in Taman Tronoh Baru, near Tronoh, today.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Assistant Director of Operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said they received an emergency call at 2:20pm before a team of personnel from the Batu Gajah Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) arrived at the scene at 2:34pm.

“Upon arrival, the police and the Ministry of Health (MOH) were already at the scene and found a man lying unconscious, as well as stuck in the toilet door frame.

“The victim was later confirmed dead by the MOH, and it was informed that the victim was a member of the public who had stopped by to use the toilet at the petrol station,” he said in a statement today.

He said firemen then carried out operations to extricate the victim, who was stuck in the door frame, by adjusting the victim’s position until he was successfully removed from the toilet.

He added that the victim’s body was brought out and handed over to the police for further action before the operation fully concluded at 3pm. — Bernama
