Jhené Aiko, Ella Langley, Stella Lefty & More: Highlights of This Week’s Billboard Charts

Today is new Billboard chart day! As all charts update each Tuesday — and on Wednesdays during holiday weeks — here’s a look at highlights of the latest rankings, dated Sept. 26 and reflecting the Sept. 11-17 measurement week, according to data tracker Luminate.

Among this week’s chart stars are Jhené Aiko, Ella Langley, Taylor Swift, Stella Lefty and Cardi B.

Aiko achieves her first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart as Westside Whimsy launches with 74,000 equivalent album units in the United States in its debut week. She adds her sixth top 10, dating to her first entry, Sail Out, which entered and peaked at No. 8 in November 2013.

Meanwhile, 17 tracks from the new set hit the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, led by “So Good,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, at No. 5. It’s Aiko’s third top 10 and first in a lead role. Lamar earns his milestone 40th top 10.

• Ella Langley

  

  “Choosin’ Texas” rewrites the record for the longest No. 1 run ever on the Billboard Hot 100, as it scores a 23rd week atop the chart. The country crossover smash surpasses Mariah Carey’s perennial “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

  “Thank you so much for loving this song,” Langley marveled on Instagram following the announcement. “I’m running out of hyperboles to describe how I feel.”

• Karol G, Judeline & rusowsky

  Their “BbY WOW” tops the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. for a third week each. It also jumps 10-7 on the Hot 100, where Karol G ties her best rank, after “TQG,” with Shakira, hit No. 7 in 2023.

• Tame Impala & JENNIE

  “Dracula” ascends to No. 1 on Radio Songs, becoming the first leader for each act.

• Taylor Swift

  “I Knew It, I Knew You” is the record-extending 16th Pop Airplay No. 1 for Swift — whose new single, “Patient Zero,” arrives Friday (Sept. 25).

• Stella Lefty

  

  “Boston” becomes the singer-songwriter’s first Country Airplay No. 1, and the first for Atlantic Outpost.

  Notably, the song is the list’s first No. 1 to name-check a city in its title since … just last December. Still, such songs are rare atop Country Airplay, although more common this decade. Since the chart began in 1990, here’s an up-to-date map of the leaders that include cities in their names (with the hub easily the most northern and, easily, eastern of the group):

• Falling in Reverse, Corey Taylor & Serj Tankian

  “Joseph” hits No. 1 on Hot Hard Rock Songs, where the acts lead for a respective seventh, second and first time.

• Nickelback feat. John 5

  

  “Rattle the Cage” becomes the band’s ninth Mainstream Rock Airplay No. 1 and the guitarist’s first. Nickelback now boasts a span of more than 25 years topping the chart, after “How You Remind Me” became the group’s initial No. 1 in 2001.

• Romeo Santos & Prince Royce

  “Ay! San Miguel” give Santos a landmark 25th No. 1 on Latin Airplay. On his heels, Prince Royce ups his count to 22 leaders.

• Espinoza & La Fiera de Ojinaga

  “Yo No Dije” tops Regional Mexican Airplay, marking their respective 10th and sixth No. 1, respectively.
