More action tomorrow!
Right guys. The time has come to say goodbye.
Thanks for your company throughout tonight. It's been a good night of action - and congratulations to our Manchester United readers.
It's certainly a game that will live long in the memory. On a night that could have been so, so much worse.
Let's hope there are better things coming.
To our Aston Villa followers, you will come again.
Plenty more action to come tomorrow, as we say, so join us for that!
Good night!
'Villa want to get used to belonging'
Oliver Holt at the Nou Camp:
It is nearly 20 years since Liverpool became the last English club to win here and nobody gave Villa too much chance of ending that drought. They are being told constantly that the odds are stacked against them and that their much-admired manager, Unai Emery, may be tempted by the entreaties of struggling 'giants' elsewhere. That was the reason why this game early in the league phase had attained so much importance. For Villa, it was a symbol of something they aspire to. They want to get used to belonging in this company, to walking up those steps, to emerging into the stadium in the pouring rain, and staring at players of the calibre of Lamine Yamal, Rodri and Pau Cubarsi staring back at them.

Carrick: 'Old Trafford can do that'
Michael Carrick, Man United manager, speaking to UEFA:
It was a challenging game. I think we started OK in the game, we knew it was going to be tough - they've only had one defeat all season. They're a very, very good team. So we talked about what we wanted to do in the game, we started OK and then the goal came from nowhere. We caused ourselves a few issues. In some ways, understandable with the run we've been on, a little bit anxious and a few nerves at times. Then I thought we grew into the game a bit at the end of the first half and I spoke at half-time about being positive. Anything can happen here, I've seen it many times over the years. You just need something to go our way and the boys were fantastic second half. They kept going, didn't get disappointed and got exactly what they deserved in the end.
This place does it. No matter what situation you're in, how tough it can seem, the supporters are desperate to get behind you and we gave them something to go on. We gave them other opportunities to score and it was close, and you're thinking 'that's another chance gone by' but we kept looking, kept pushing for answers and we found them in the end. I don't have a crystal ball to know what happens next. We move on to the weekend, we've got a really important game here against Aston Villa, which we need to prepare for right.
Up next...
The football really doesn't stop at the minute.
In their final matches before the international break, Manchester United and Aston Villa will face each other this weekend, going into it in different moods...
That game will take place at 4:30pm on Sunday at Old Trafford.
Barcelona, meanwhile, will tackle Atletico Madrid in a big LaLiga game on Sunday, with Roma Sassuolo in Serie A on Saturday evening.
'Villa will be ruing their missed chances'
Paul Merson, former Aston Villa forward, Sky Sports:
They shot themselves in the foot early doors. After that, Villa had good chances to score and should have scored at least one of them.Come out second-half and different class. Barcelona by far the better team. Villa really never looked like getting back into it second-half.
They'll be ruing their chances in the first-half. But it was a bit of a free swing tonight. And as I said, first-half they've done well, second-half not good enough. But they'll be a hard team to beat this weekend.
FAN OPINIONS: 'Only gives Carrick a few weeks'
Anonymous, Man Utd fan: Great comeback, but I'm not deluded in thinking it will be the turning point. 'A single swallow does not a summer make'.
Anonymous: Only gives them a few more weeks until the whole Carrick will lose his job circus starts again.
Anonymous, Man Utd fan: They are back! Michael now lead us to the promised land.
'United showed guts'
Ian Ladyman at Old Trafford:
Once again they sang Michael Carrick's name and this time it was not out of sympathy. This time it was different. This time there had been some guts and this time there had been some glory. This time, most importantly, there had been a victory. So the Stretford End sang Carrick's name out of thanks. Finally some respite from the relentless misery of this tortuous season. How Carrick's Manchester United team pulled off this comeback is hard to fathom. But for now all that matters to Carrick is that they did. For at last he has something tangible to cling to as he tries to drag his club's season back from the jaws of hell.

Yep, it's time to watch the highlights.

If you still can't believe what happened, below is the evidence it did.
Flick: 'They made their mistake'
Hansi Flick, Barcelona manager, speaking to TNT Sports:
It was how we want to play football. We tried to press them very high so they made mistakes. We were in the right position and pressed them well, then they made their mistake. This is always the goal to go for the big titles. It is a big goal and we go for that.
We want to win LaLiga and Champions League is the same but there are many clubs who can win this. At the end, we want to be in Madrid for the final.
McGinn: 'Lessons to be learnt'
John McGinn, Aston Villa captain, speaking to TNT Sports:
When you come to places like this, you need to start well and weather the storm, and we didn't do this."When you play against teams like Barcelona, you don't get a second chance. There are lessons to be learnt.
"We have shown we can compete at this level but our final pass let us down. The manager spoke about being clinical but if you lose it, they are going to punish you.
We were competitive. We show we can make them sweat but tonight was a huge learning curve.
