Iran targets US military bases in Kuwait with missile, drone strikes as conflict continues - report
Kuwaiti air defenses are confronting hostile missile and drone attacks from Iran, the Kuwait Armed Forces confirmed in a post on X/Twitter on Thursday morning.
"Everyone is requested to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities," the post added.
The Iranian attack on Kuwait targeted US military bases in the country, Iranian state media IRIB reported.
Local sources told IRIB that a US base in Kuwait had been struck, claiming that smoke was rising from the site. Neither the US nor Kuwait have confirmed such reports.
The Kuwait Armed Forces said in their post on X, "If explosion sounds are heard, they are the result of air defense systems intercepting the hostile attacks."
