Paris des Arts: Special edition in Geneva

This week Paris des Arts decamps to Geneva, the cosmopolitan Swiss city nestled between the lake and the Jura mountains. Valérie Fayolle is there to meet two artists who have made it their home. Young chef Danny Khezzar heads up the team at the Michelin-starred Bayview restaurant. A "Top Chef" finalist in 2014, Khezzar has two passions: music and cooking.    

"Music is part of my life. I wake up with music, I cook with music. In both music and cooking you start with a blank canvas and you can do anything you want. That's what I love," Khezzar tells us.

Next, we get an inside look at the studio of painter Omar Ba. The Senegalese-born artist has been living in Geneva for more than 20 years. Ba uses his painting to challenge injustice in the world, using beauty in his canvases to call out the violence of mankind.  

For him, "painting is a way of speaking out. Painting means expressing your point of view on everything that happens." 

Finally, this week's top pick is a delightful stroll through Geneva's Old Town, where winding medieval streets lead to symbols of the pivotal Reformation period.
