Osun Election: Ede North BVAS fails as herdsmen graze cattle
Voting was yet to commence at Ward 1, Unit 9, in Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State on Saturday, as the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) was reportedly not functioning.
The development occurred as voters across the state continued to cast their ballots in the ongoing governorship election.
At the polling unit, some electorate were seen waiting for the accreditation process to commence, while efforts were reportedly being made to resolve the technical challenge.
Meanwhile, Fulani herders were sighted grazing cattle around Ode-Omu in Ayedaade Local Government Area of the state.
The presence of the herders and their cattle was observed as voting was ongoing in different parts of Osun State.
As of the time of filing this report, it was unclear when the BVAS issue at Ward 1, Unit 9, would be resolved and voting would commence.
