Speaking on 105.3 The Fan, Jones said Dallas currently has "conversations going on" regarding ways to upgrade its roster. When Porter's name was brought up during the appearance, Jones declined to specifically address the Steelers cornerback, citing NFL tampering rules.

The decision not to discuss Porter directly does not necessarily confirm that the Cowboys have made an offer or are actively negotiating for him, but his name has emerged in connection with Dallas as the team evaluates options.
