Shakira announced a new date on Monday (Oct. 5) for her residency in Madrid, which will now extend until Oct. 12, one day after what was initially planned to be her final concert in the Spanish capital.

Dubbed El Último Baile (The Last Dance), the show will take place on Spain’s Hispanic Day, with Latin culture being one of the main themes of the night. The concert has been announced as a “grand farewell with friends,” although it remains to be seen who will join Shakira on stage. More details will be revealed on Tuesday (Oct. 6) at a press conference in Madrid led by Pino Sagliocco, president of Live Nation Spain.

According to the organizers, the additional date is a response to the “overwhelming demand” for tickets to the residency, which began on Sept. 18 at the Shakira Stadium, a temporary venue built at Iberdrola Music specifically for this series of concerts, which are part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. It also comes after the Colombian superstar completed her third consecutive weekend of performances in Madrid.

“What an incredible weekend, three nights full of emotion! Packed to the brim! An unbeatable audience every night,” Shakira wrote on her social media accounts Monday. The Saturday, Oct. 3, concert streamed live on Amazon Music, and became the most watched livestream by a female artist on the platform to date/

Tickets for the Oct. 12 concert will be available in a presale for Santander Music customers starting Tuesday (Oct. 6) at 3 p.m. local time, while general sales will begin on Wednesday (Oct. 7) at 10 a.m. local time through Live Nation, Ticketmaster and El Corte Inglés.

Throughout the residency, Shakira has brought special guests to the stage, including Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz, Manuel Turizo and Dua Lipa, as well as the Ghetto Kids.
