One dead, one unconscious after electric shock in flooded Samut Prakan village

SAMUT PRAKAN — 27 September 2026, One person died and another was left unconscious after an apparent electric shock at a flooded housing estate in Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan province.

The Disaster Response Team of Ruam Katanyu Foundation used a high-clearance rescue vehicle to travel through floodwater and reach the victims at a housing estate in Soi King Kaew 19.

Rescuers provided first aid to the unconscious victim before carrying the person through the floodwater and transferring them to an ambulance team from the Prakan Emergency Medical Center for transport to hospital.

Rescue workers then returned to the scene to handle the body of another person who had died.

Initial information indicated that the housing estate had been flooded for around two days.

Witnesses reportedly said a crane truck was at the scene attempting to lift a vehicle that had become submerged in the floodwater. However, it remains unclear what happened immediately before the electric shock.

Officials are investigating the incident and working to establish the exact cause before taking further action.
