The Legend of Zelda is making an official comeback in January 2027 with a huge new release currently priced at $519.99. Nintendo’s action-adventure franchise is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026, and there’s a lot in store to celebrate it. For starters, we’ll soon see the release of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, a long-requested project that has recently been confirmed by Nintendo as a November 2026 release. On top of that, we’re also getting a few new merch releases celebrating the series’ 40 years of history.
We’ve seen some of the smaller merch releases teased for the 40th anniversary, but soon, players will be able to grab a much pricier product. As seen on the First 4 Figures website, a new Decayed Master Sword life-size statue, based on the model from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is on its way. According to the product page, this special item is now up for sale in pre-order for $519.99. The product’s estimated release date is set for Q4 2026, though completion may occur in January 2027.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Decayed Master Sword Life-Size Statue is a premium product that portrays Link’s broken sword in ToTK. As such, it is not a complete sword, but about half its actual size, with its broken blade. The Decayed Master Sword statue comes with a special base featuring Gloom energy that seems to engulf the weapon. The base also features limited-edition numbering. The product comes with a collector’s box and an authentication card.
This Master Sword replica from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is made of resin and metal. It’s one of the finest celebratory products the series has seen so far, and one of the many issued by First 4 Figures; on the website, there is a Tears of the Kingdom Link statue for sale, too. Of course, something over $500 may be a bit too pricey for most of us, so if you’re looking for ways of celebrating the franchise’s 40th anniversary without spending too much, know that there are options.
12 historical Zelda charms are being released in Japan this year, allowing fans to collect small metal charms that represent different versions of Link across the ages. These charms are part of a new gacha collection, and each pull in machines in Japan will cost 300 yen. Alternatively, if merch doesn’t do it for you, it is possible to simply wait for the release of the Ocarina of Time remake in early November.
It’s a huge year for Nintendo’s classic franchise, but it’s clear that it has no intention of slowing down, even after the 40th anniversary celebrations are over. There’s a lot of potential for the future of The Legend of Zelda, and not all future releases will come at $519.99.
