This will feel like a home fixture for Milan, as there are more of their fans in the Stadio Olimpico against Lazio, with the hosts opening up extra sections for them.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome at 17.00 UK time (18.00 CEST).

Although this is nominally a Lazio home match, their supporters will be decidedly in the minority in their own arena.

This is because the Aquile ultras are continuing their war of attrition against President Claudio Lotito, which means not only refusing to buy season tickets, but also boycotting the home games.

This has seen several matches played in an essentially empty stadium, but this time the Milan supporters have turned up in droves to fill the gaps.

The away section was easily sold out with all 5,500 tickets, so with so few others attending, the organisers opened up more areas in the stands for Milan fans.

It is reported that around 10,000 Rossoneri fans will be present for this evening’s encounter, compared to roughly 6,000 Biancocelesti supporters.

Despite the boycott, the team is doing well this season, winning all three opening Serie A matches after their Coppa Italia exit to Mantova.
