PUTRAJAYA, Oct 26 — Visitors and tourists have been urged to stay away from Bagan Lalang Beach after reports of a crocodile sighting near the popular coastal area.

According to Berita Harian, Sepang police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman said police received reports from members of the public late yesterday afternoon of a suspected crocodile being sighted near the beach.

He said the animal was reported near a resort in Sungai Pelek.

“Police advise the public not to carry out any activities along the shoreline of Bagan Lalang Beach, Sungai Pelek, for the safety of local residents and tourists,” he said in a statement today.

Norhizam said police would work with relevant agencies to address the situation and take the necessary measures to ensure public safety.
